Medusa Base.com
Base.com (formerly BaseLinker) connected to Medusa — products, variants, pricing, and warehouse stock synchronised into Medusa, and Medusa orders created in Base.com automatically.
Who it is for
Merchants and teams that run their fulfilment, warehousing, or order operations on Base.com and either already use Medusa or are moving a storefront onto it.
The problem it solves
When the storefront and the operational system keep separate copies of the catalogue, stock drifts, prices disagree, and orders are re-keyed by hand. The further apart the two systems get, the more the business trusts neither of them.
How it works
Products flow one way: Base.com is the source for product data, variants, pricing, and warehouse stock, and the plugin writes them into Medusa.
Orders flow the other way: when Medusa raises its order-placed event, the plugin builds the matching order in Base.com.
Because the two systems use their own identifiers, the plugin keeps mapping tables that link Base.com warehouses and product or variant IDs to their Medusa counterparts.
Synchronisation can be triggered on demand through an admin endpoint or on a schedule through a Medusa job, so the sync cadence is a decision rather than a side effect.
What it does
- Products synchronised from Base.com into Medusa — titles, descriptions, and images
- Product variants synchronised with their options
- Pricing imported across markets
- Stock levels imported from connected Base.com warehouses
- Mapping tables linking Base.com warehouse and product or variant IDs to Medusa records
- Manual product sync through an admin API endpoint
- Scheduled sync through a Medusa job with a configurable interval
- Orders created in Base.com when an order is placed in Medusa
Where it fits
- A Base.com merchant moving the storefront to Medusa while keeping Base.com as the operational hub
- An operation that needs warehouse stock in Medusa to match Base.com without manual reconciliation
- A team that wants Medusa orders to reach Base.com without a person copying them across
