Medusa engineering by u11d
Medusa development, deployment, and maintenance
u11d builds and extends Medusa, connects it to the systems a business already runs on, gets it into production on the hosting model that fits, and keeps improving it afterwards. The open-source solution below are the public part of that work; the rest starts with your requirements.
Development and integration work is scoped from your commerce requirements. Hosting is an architecture decision we make with you — not a prerequisite for working together.
Scope
What we do
Four kinds of work, usually combined on the same project.
- Custom modules, workflows, and domain services
- Admin panel extensions and operational tooling
- Checkout, cart, order, and pricing logic
- Data model changes and database migrations
- Next.js storefronts on the Medusa Store API
- Cart, checkout, and account flows
- Catalogue and content presentation
- Performance, accessibility, and responsive QA
- Payment gateways, shipping providers, and third-party logistics
- ERP, Warehouse Management (WMS), Taxes and CRM integrations
- Content management (CMS) and marketing automation
- Custom plugins, data feeds, and event-driven workflows
- Cloud, managed platform, and self-managed deployment
- CI/CD, environments, and infrastructure as code
- Monitoring, logging, and backup verification
- Upgrades, migrations, and incident follow-up
How we work
A written scope before any implementation
Engagements follow the same shape whether the work is a single integration or an ongoing arrangement.
1. Discovery
We read the code and the requirements, identify what actually needs to change, and say plainly what we would not touch.
2. Technical design
Written scope: the approach, affected modules, integration contracts, and acceptance criteria — before implementation starts.
3. Delivery
Implementation in small reviewed increments, with tests on the logic that carries risk and staging verification before release.
4. Handover and improvement
Documentation and a walkthrough so your team can operate the result, plus an optional ongoing support arrangement.
Every engagement is scoped in writing. Deliverables, timelines, and support levels are agreed per project — this page describes the work we do, not a fixed package.
